Apologies because I feel like this is a lengthy update. Here's a little summary to save you some time. 😊

The campaign is really close to reaching $10,000, which is more than I could have imagined this time last week! To celebrate, every backer will receive a FREE mini pin once we hit that milestone. This pin will be 1", like all the other bookshelves, and have white screen printed text. The design features ten books that represent the ten genres the campaign started with. Additional pins of this design will be available as add-on items in the post campaign survey.

Thank you to everyone who filled out my second stretch goal survey yesterday! I used your responses to determined the next TEN stretch goals for this campaign. I don't want to add any more new designs, because I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, so I thought it would be fun to play with special effects for the existing genres. Most of the added effects will be either glitter or glow in the dark details. I'd love to do fancier things, but I'm still in my first year of pin making and those seem most failsafe.

A lot of you said you want to be able to choose whether or not to have special effects and I hear you! These deluxe pins will be an addition, not a replacement of the existing designs. They'll be available for a small upcharge during the post-campaign surveys.

“Library” and “Complete Collection” pledge tiers: Because of the cost of pins, I'm unable to add all of the bonus genres to these pledge levels for free. I know a most folks at these tiers were hoping to get everything, so I'll be offering a steeply discounted "Expansion Pack" to close the gap. The Expansion Pack will cost $60 and include 3 full size pins, 4 mini pins, and three Bookcase stickers. This will allow you get select one of everything if you want!

Y'all are amazing! I really didn't expect to need stretch goals past the $10,000 mark, but it's looking likely. 😅

That being said, this campaign is already more successful than my previous three projects combined. That's incredibly exciting and also a little scary - I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. To keep things manageable for myself I won't be adding any more new genres after the three that are currently in-progress. I want to keep the stretch goal fun going though, so I've been thinking of ways to add special effects to the existing pin designs. I've created another stretch goal survey for your input!

I'm going to be working on the designs for our three new genres over the weekend! We've already reached the goals to unlock all of them. I already have the bookcases sketched out and will be starting to cleanup the linework later today. I'm especially excited for the lil guys in these designs - they're turning out to have a lot of personality.

I spoke too soon when I sent out that stretch goal survey... y'all funded ALL my goals in under 9 hours yesterday! The survey did give me some awesome feedback and ideas for additional genres, so I'm going back to the drawing board to make some more pin designs.

I'm adding three more genre stretch goals based off of feedback rom the survey! The new genres will be Banned Books, Arts and Crafts, and Spicy Romance. We also have two community achievements - one based on the number of backers and one on funds raised. We're close to unlocking the Cryptozoology Bookshelf Mini Pin!

I also wanted to share another one of my campaigns that is currently live as part of Kickstarter "Make 100" event. This campaign is for enamel advocacy pins promoting transgender healthcare access. Check it out!

Here are a few of the other Pintopia 2025 projects that could use a little boost to reach their goals. These are all projects I love so I wanted to highlight them! You can click on their banners below to learn more.

"Forest of Sin" by Totally Toonish is a series of animals inspired by the 7 deadly sins. I think these designs are a really unique interpretation of the sins and I love how they color coded each pin!

"Zom-Beastz!" by Snapling is a collection of zombified animals with bold lines and lots of colors. I really like how much personality all their characters have!

"Mush Love Pride Pins" by Rawren Designs is a collection of little mushrooms inspired by LGBTQ+ flags and identities. I think they did a fantastic job capturing the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community in their campaign!

"Cats with Hats" by Monster Kitty Society is exactly what it sounds like. The designs are straightforward, silly, and I badly need that shark hat cat.

"Monzzters" by Docu Pizza is a campaign I've had my eye on for a while. I love the creative takes on their pizza monster's flavors... and they also make me hungry every time I see them.

Wow, y'all funded this campaign SO QUICKLY! I'm so glad y'all like these designs as much as I do and that we hit the initial goal in under 45 minutes. We're already starting to reach the stretch goals and I need your help to determine the next genres to unlock.

I don't want to flood your inboxes with updates, so I'm going to wait for things to settle down a little bit before sharing the survey results. You can expect to see another update from me early next week about which genres are unlocking.
